Oriental Weavers Hospitality Inaugurates London Showroom

Flagship addition takes OW Hospitality’s global presence to new heights


Oriental Weavers Hospitality, the hospitality carpeting arm of the Oriental Weavers (OW) group, inaugurated its latest showroom in London on November 8th 2012. Located in the picturesque Queens Park northwest London, the showroom is a milestone cementing OW’s global reach. The expansive and contemporary facility spans 7,500 square feet and covers the ground floor of the company’s corporate offices.


The new showroom was formally inaugurated by said Mr. Kareem Rifaat, OW’s Director of Exports, in an exclusive event held in conjunction with Sleeper Magazine, one of England’s premier publications for the Hospitality business. It was attended by guests including representatives from Hilton Hotels, Intercontinental Hotels, and Richmond International.

Michael Riley, CEO and Managing Director of OW Hospitality emphasized OW’s commitment to the global marketplace, “As a world leader in the machine woven and carpet industry, OW Hospitality’s growth strategy stands to substantially benefit from a stronger UK presence. London is the company’s base of operations and a key city for the global architecture and design community; the investment in this impressive facility is testament to the tremendous growth potential that the company sees in this prime market.”


“The London showroom is set to feature a creative design center servicing the local design and architecture community, and the offices will act as a project planning and coordinating hub for the London marketplace,” said Mr Kareem Rifaat, OW’s Director of Exports. “The showroom will also be utilized for training, industry seminars and for OWH partners to hold meetings, events and mini-shows.”


“We really wanted to create a space that not only reflects our company’s sense of style and fashion but, a very usable space for ourselves and our partner companies in the hospitality sector of our business. With continued expansion of OW Hospitality the new showplace was essential for us to help focus on the local London design community,” added Mr Riley.


According to the Oxford Business Group in 2010, OW dominates the Egyptian local market with an 85% share, and maintains a strong position in the global market, with a 25% market share in the US and a 20% share in Europe.
