Oriental Weavers bags the ‘2023 Green Collection Award’ at DOMOTEX Hannover for its unprecedented sustainable collection

Oriental Weavers Group (OW), the world’s largest carpets, rugs, and related raw materials producer, has proudly been awarded the ‘Green Collection Award’ for its unprecedented sustainable collection showcased at DOMOTEX fair, the world leading trade show for carpets and floor coverings, taking place in Hannover, Germany from 12 to 15 January 2023. Oriental Weavers’ export clients are fundamental to our success! As a symbol of our appreciation for the trust and prosperous relationship we continue to strive for, we invited over 40 of our main export clients to Egypt for a few days of business and pleasure. Africa Business Leaders Coalition

Yasmine Khamis, Chair of Oriental Weavers Carpets, has been appointed as a founding member of the Africa Business Leaders Coalition, a CEO-led initiative emanating from the UN Global Compact Africa Strategy 2021–2023, and is committed to advancing sustainable growth, prosperity and development in Africa by bringing measurable impact to its most pressing issues. Mrs. Yasmine said: “I am proud to share that I have been appointed as a Founding Member of the Africa Business Leaders Coalition. Convened by the United Nations Global Compact, the coalition convenes highlevel Chief Executives aiming to tackle Africa’s most pressing issues, beginning with the climate crisis.

Oriental Weavers strides onto a new stage

Unveils six new collections made in Egypt   Dalton, Ga. – A spacious, two-story showroom allows Oriental Weavers to give new product introductions their full due. Located at 260 Fifth Ave., between 28th and 29th streets, the area rug manufacturer’s new space, featuring a convenient staircase in the center connecting the two floors, is officially opened this week following a hybrid (in-person and virtual meetings) soft launch in fall 2021. “We are very excited about our new showroom because it’s a super space,” explained Jonathan Witt, president. “We can show more product now than we were able to in our previous showroom at 295 Fifth Ave.” More
