Unveils six new collections made in Egypt
Dalton, Ga. – A spacious, two-story showroom allows Oriental Weavers to give new product introductions their full due.
Located at 260 Fifth Ave., between 28th and 29th streets, the area rug manufacturer’s new space, featuring a convenient staircase in the center connecting the two floors, is officially opened this week following a hybrid (in-person and virtual meetings) soft launch in fall 2021.
“We are very excited about our new showroom because it’s a super space,” explained Jonathan Witt, president. “We can show more product now than we were able to in our previous showroom at 295 Fifth Ave.”
More product on show also means expanded customer service, as OW is able to present a wider breadth of offerings to a wider variety of retail customers, Witt added.
“Before, we were restricted to primarily product for larger stores and discounters because we didn’t have enough space for our full line like we can in High Point and Las Vegas,” he said. “Now, we can show everything here in New York.”
Among the highlights this week: six new collections, all of them power-loomed in Egypt of 100% polypropylene.
- Alamosa, featuring a dense, 500,000-point construction in a soft, textured yarn quality. Its elegant palette of neutral grays, deep saturated blues and warm tones of wheat and cinnabar lends easily to a wide range of designs, from intricate traditionals to global and modern abstracts.
- Estellais made of heat-set polypropylene to enhance its inherent easy-care, family-friendly benefits. Tonal shades of blues and grays in a wide range of design options elevate the look of this promotional quality grouping.
- Kavala features warm neutral shades and tonal blues and greens with engaging pop of orange tea enliven its varied patterns, ranging from traditional to contemporary looks.
For customers not attending market in person, OW is offering virtual tours from its showroom.
“We’re very good at giving virtual tours and we can do it on the fly, so if someone decided last minute that they prefer to do it that way, we are happy to accommodate them,” Witt said. “Our showroom is equipped for that, and our sales reps are prepared.”
