We are pleased to announce contracting with Integrated Renewable & Sustainable Communities (IRSC), a leader in renewable energy solutions, to install a 2.5 MWp solar power plant at Oriental Weavers International, the largest manufacturing facility in the group, in 10th of Ramadan City. This project represents a major leap in our commitment toward sustainability and our decarbonization strategy. 31 October 2024 We welcomed Professor Martyn Evans, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Manchester Metropolitan University, and Andrew Ludley, Deputy Head of International Partnerships at MMU, to our Oriental Weavers Carpet facility. Joining them were Prof. Ahmed Elseragy, Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design at the British University in Egypt (BUE), and Dr. Noha Fawzy, Head of the Fashion and Textile Department at BUE.  Our guests toured our facility and explored our R&D department, experiencing firsthand the innovations fueling our designs and driving the future of carpet manufacturing.

Oriental Weavers Signs An Agreement With Amarenco Solarize To Operate One Of Its 10th of Ramadan Factories Using Clean Energy

Cairo, 15 November 2023 – Oriental Weavers, the world’s leading carpets and rugs company, signed an agreement with Amarenco Solarize, the leading provider of solar energy solutions, to operate one of its factories in the Tenth of Ramadan area using solar energy. This project is a significant step in Oriental Weavers’ sustainability journey, which is aligned with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the company’s commitment to reducing its carbon emissions.
