We are pleased to announce contracting with Integrated Renewable & Sustainable Communities (IRSC), a leader in renewable energy solutions, to install a 2.5 MWp solar power plant at Oriental Weavers International, the largest manufacturing facility in the group, in 10th of Ramadan City. This project represents a major leap in our commitment toward sustainability and our decarbonization strategy. The new solar power plant will represent 4% of the electricity used in our largest manufacturing facility, cutting carbon emissions by 4,000 tons annually. 31 October 2024 We welcomed Professor Martyn Evans, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Manchester Metropolitan University, and Andrew Ludley, Deputy Head of International Partnerships at MMU, to our Oriental Weavers Carpet facility. Joining them were Prof. Ahmed Elseragy, Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design at the British University in Egypt (BUE), and Dr. Noha Fawzy, Head of the Fashion and Textile Department at BUE.  Our guests toured our facility and explored our R&D department, experiencing firsthand the innovations fueling our designs and driving the future of carpet manufacturing.
